Recognition Status
Digi-Sign is a Certification Authority (CA) recognized by the CDP under a voluntary scheme established by the Electronic Transaction Ordinance (Cap 553) of the laws of the HKSAR.
As a Recognized Certification Authority, Digi-Sign meets the various standards, including those for trustworthiness, stipulated by the Government.
The following certificates issued by Digi-Sign are recognized by the CDP under Electronic Transaction Ordinance (Cap 553):

- ID-Cert Root CA Cert 3;

- Personal ID-Cert Class 1 - for individuals to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Organizational ID-Cert Class 2 - for organizations to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Encipherment ID-Cert Class 3 - for individuals and organizations to use for encryption of electronic messages;
- Organizational ID-Cert Class 5 - for organizations to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Governmental ID-Cert Class 6 - for individuals to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Governmental ID-Cert Class 7 - for individuals to use for encryption of electronic messages;
- Personal ID-Cert Class 8 - for individuals to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Organizational ID-Cert Class 9 - for organizations to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Personal (Banking) ID-Cert Class 10 - for individuals to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Organizational (Banking) ID-Cert Class 11 - for organizations to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Personal (Remote) ID-Cert Class 12 - for individuals to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Organizational (Remote) ID-Cert Class 15 - for organizations to use for generation of digital signatures.
Further, the following certificates participate in the mutual recognition scheme of certificates under the "Arrangement of mutual recognition of electronic signature certificates issued by Hong Kong and Guangdong":
- Personal ID-Cert Class 8 - for individuals to use for generation of digital signatures;
- Organizational ID-Cert Class 9 - for organizations to use for generation of digital signatures
